The end of an era, and end of an 11-year chapter of my life, which I’ll look back with fondness. Recent turns of events means that I no longer have the means, money or motivation to carry on this site. It’s died the way I never wanted it to. Very few blog posts, probably less hits.
There’s been ups and downs, moments I’ve been proud of, moments I’ve confined to the bit-bucket of time, and long deleted moments where I’ve felt like the biggest arsehole of all time, moments that have shaped my life forever. Relationships have fallen apart because of my warblings on here.
I could go on, I could reel off a credit list as long as your finger. Instead, I’ll say that everything I’ve done on this site was mine. Some of it wasn’t, but those who aren’t mentioned were happy to give their contents to the site, and I shall be forever grateful. If you’ve commented on this site over the years, thank you for taking the time.
I’m not dead, or dying, however (though at the time of typing I think I’m getting a chest infection), and I’ll still be around the normal haunts. Facebook, flickr, email,

Damn Scrib your randomness will be sorely missed on the interclicks. It was your blog that got me started in blogging. Memory serves me right it was you who helped me create my first blog nearly 6 years ago.
It was your blogging style I always tried to emulate.
Good luck in what ever your doing or planning now Scrib.
Mercuryvapour.co.uk might be deleted soon but it will live on in the minds of other blogger and Googles search engine archives.

No, not back, but have just re-registered the domain name for another 2 years, for the princely price of nothing.
This doesn’t mean that I’m bringing the site back, I just don’t want the domain name to fall into unscrupulous hands. I’ve been drafting a full, frank explanation on my plug-pulling, but by the time I get it published, I doubt anyone would read it :)

I installed a plugin the other day that’ll change it to “Chad”, based on IP address (if it resolves to a .co.jp address, it gets marked as “awaiting approval”, and the name changed to Chad.
What’s Weddkiller? Sounds dangerous.

It’s a shame to know Mercury Vapour Towers is closing down. I won’t have anything to read now when I’m board at college. I am typing this last comment at college. Times have changed so much since 2000 and 2007 when I first walked up that long gravel drive way. At least the drive has been returned to Mercury and the past is still present.

Since you have your domain for another two yeas why not keep blogging? Even if its only a post a month like me, I even took a photo of the new Netto/Ugo/Pound stretcher so I could make a post about it, but I couldnt do it. This is your job. I heard the news as well. Sorry dude.
