RIP Alex “Hurricane” Higgins
Gah, will my childhood heroes please stop dying?
One of my favourite snooker players, Alex Higgins, has died, aged 61…

I might have a Guinness in his honour.

Indeed, that’s the thing when you start to get older, your childhood idols start popping their clogs at an astonishing rate.
The photos of him in the Mirror yesterday were awful to look at.

Alex Higgins – not someone I would want children to be idolizing to be honest. Good at snooker though.

I idolised Alex Higgins the snooker player, as you know how much I loved (and still love) Snooker. I was too young back then to follow any of his private life. I just remember him as a master of the green baize. Or is it baise? Fuck it, green cloth.
