2007 webstats are in…
OK, I normally do this on New Years day, but for whatever reason this year, I either forgot, or couldn’t be bothered. Therefore, in the middle of January, I give you… the official Mercury Vapour Statistics for 2007!
Successful requests: 1,219,973
Average successful requests per day: 3,342
Successful requests for pages: 360,340
Average successful requests for pages per day: 987
Failed requests: 59,263
Redirected requests: 43,818
Distinct files requested: 64,338
Distinct hosts served: 55,976
Corrupt logfile lines: 152
Data transferred: 23.76 gigabytes
Average data transferred per day: 66.66 megabytes
The Successful requests are only up ~60,000 from 2006, though the bandwidth used is a lot higher. In 2006, it was only 14Gb. It’s a bit weird how the average data transferred is 66.66 Mb. How very odd. Maybe someone’s trying to tell me something.
Anyway, this means that, for the first time in 8 weeks, I’ve updated the Mercuryvapour Stats page. I know some of you actually enjoy reading it, therefore I apologise for my laziness in updating it. It’s just that I have a few tools that give me “realtime” stats, so I don’t pour over the logfiles as much as I used to.
I’m surprisied at the growth of the data transfer side of things, especially as over the past year I have relied on flickr for part of my hosting. I have used it to host a lot of my blog images, while the postings are new. After a few weeks, I begin to host the image here.
I have had a lot of bandwidth stealing taking place, something I’m not too bothered about at the minute, as I don’t come close to my allowance limit each month, and I doubt this will change anytime soon. I am planning to capitalise on this soon, however. Even if it’s just a few extra hits.
The searches have been a bit… er, interesting.
My top five are…
229 jamie scribbler 192 hot pussy 109 mercury vapour co.uk 104 steetley hartlepool 102 kamasura
“jamie scribbler” comes mainly from Chad searching for this site through msn.com.
“hot pussy” comes from… um. I have no idea.
“mercury vapour co.uk” goes without saying
“steetley hartlepool” comes from my Steetley gallery
“kamasura” appears to come from my own error… this bad spelling of a CD single I own. I’ve only just noticed it, so I don’t know if I’ll bother replacing it with the correct spelling or not.
I will be doing another “since 2005″ run on the stats shortly, but for now, I don’t have my external drive plugged in with the rest of the logfiles on it so I can’t do it now. I’ll remove it from the site until I do update it.
I hope this has been enlightening to some of you. I also hope it’s been as dull as ditchwater for those who don’t like this type of post.

Inspired me to check OIs. They are very confusing.
