Hmmm.
Today marks the 16th anniversary of the last ever episode of Kick Start being aired.

Well, spring has finally spring, and I’m using my wireless connection for the first time outside. Our back garden is a bit of a suntrap, even at this time of the year, so I’m out here, enjoying the sun. The garden chairs make a perfect desk.
Woohoo.
Bugger. This is the third time I’ve attempted to start this bastard. I do apologise for my lack of updates recently, though I have updated more than usual recently. Anyway, the lack of updates are usually down to the fact I’ve been at work, and indeed, this is the case again. I’ve done absolutely nothing, and have no update on anything I’ve posted recently. Well, I do have a few little bits of information, but you’ll have to read on.
Firstly, let’s start with the car. It’s no longer goosed. It spent 24 hours in the garage, getting a new alternator fitted. The three-figure sum of the final repair cost was probably more than the car is actually worth, and I have a feeling it’ll tbe the last major repair on it before it ends up rotting in some scrapyard somewhere. It’s not been a bad car, it’s just showing its age a little.
(Edit: It wasn’t 3 figure. Daddykins was winding me up. Grrr)
Anyway, I ended up getting a taxi home from work today, as I wasn’t sure if the car would be repaired by the time I’d finished. This led me to be utterly, utterly offended by the bloody taxi driver. It’s bad enough making small-talk with an almost complete stranger for the length of the journey, but the following was just great.
Part of the journey, we talked about the fact that the driver had missed Doctor Who on Saturday. He asked if I watched it. I;m not one for Sci-Fi, especially Dr. Who. I just never “got” it, So, I replied that I didn’t watch it, and the conversation petered out, to a degree. He had Talk Sport on the radio, as the Liverpool match was on. Steven Gerrard had scored, which was enough of a trigger for me to attempt to re-spark the conversation…
Me: “I see Liverpool had a good match on Saturday”
Him: “Oh, you watched it? I didn’t think you followed football….”
Me: “Yeah, I watch it occasionally, if there’s a big match on.”
Him” Really? You don’t come across as the type to be interested in sport… you look like you’re someone who’d be more interested in Doctor Who…”
Wow. Why didn’t he just shout “YOU FAT NERD” as I got out of the taxi, or something? It would have been a lot easier!
Oh, and just to clarify, should the taxi driver ever read this, I know you probably didn’t mean it like that, but it’s given me something to type about
Moving on swiftly, something else which has taken more than a couple of column inches in this blog recently, is Coatesy’s secrety about a certain plain he had. Apparently, he’s not going to go ahead with it now anyway, so he decided to release the information early…
secrecy over, i have had a change of mind
was going to buy a brand new mini.
Of course, this leads me to question where the “Salt, Pepper, Chilli” stuff came into it, which he left in his cryptic clue…
Er, anyway, that’s it.
