The lunchtime post!
Ah yes, it is indeed lunchbreak. So I thought I’d do a quick update, seeing as there’s nobody else to talk to.
Since my last posting, I have slept like a log for most of the time, so there’s not been much update. I got more Lovefilm DVD’s today. Office Space, and The Day Today, which you may recall was a humorous Chris Morris news-style show which launched the career of Alan Partridge. Of course, Office space is one of my favourite films, though I’ve yet to actually own it on DVD. Which is quite surprising considering how much I spend on them.
There was also a flyer in for Hot Fuzz, the police-based film starring most of the Shaun Of the Dead team. Me and JT have arranged to see it when it comes out, probably on 15th Feb.
The only thing I’ve managed to do today is go to Asda. They had specials on Fosters. Wheee! I bought 2×10 500ml packs for £12. Actually, that works out exactly the same as it would if I got them from Mal’s, but without the convenience of having to walk down the offy in the rain and hail, just like I did the other night. I bought some of their nice sausage rolls, which only lasted me half of the night. Bah. The woman behind the checkout commented on how much she loved them. I have a feeling she may have been on a diet….
I also bought yet another Chicken Madras. Can you believe they’ve changed them? Yes, despite my rant a few months ago after they discontinued the Vindaloo variety, they’ve gone and made the portions bigger, and therefore more expensive. In this current time of healthy eating, why have they gone and made them BIGGER? What the hell? Are curries suddenly healthy enough to allow them to enlarge them? If they are, I’ll live until 167. It does mean that they’ve become harder to cook in the works microwave. The rice always dries out, no matter how much water you actually put in, and no matter how vigorously you stir it in between.
It’s 7 minutes until I sign back on…. now 6. Just enough time for a drink of water, possibly enough time to pouch away the last mini sausage roll, and definitely enough time for a great big long sigh….
