Grrr.
I’m sick and tired of being stopped in the street and being asked the same question. Over and over.
There’s not a day goes by where I’m not asked “Jamie, What would your website look like if I bought a Macintosh, running Mac OSX 10.4 and Explorer 5.2?”. Or at least some strange browser / operating system combination.
A perfect example was when I was in Netto just the other day. Imagine the scene. There I was, somewhere between the milk section and the bread, when a complete stranger rammed me in the ankles with his trolley, before blaring “YOUR WEBSITE DOES NOT WORK WITH MY VERSION OF WINDOWS 98, COMPLETE WITH INTERNET EXPLORER 4!”. Embarrased, I picked up my weetabix, and hobbled to the checkout.
But, what could I do to stop this incident happening again? I’ll tell you what I’ve done.
I’ve added a collection of 160ish images (now removed) on what my website looks like on a multitude of different browsers and operating systems.

Bah, you should have changed the file names to say what the combinations used are…
