How long has this been going on for? How long is it since Daddykins put his quilt in the washer? Far too long.
But, now it’s all over! We now have the replacement!
Turns out we had the old one for over 10 years…. there was a sticker on the underside of the lid with the date of a service, dated 1995.
Now, it’s time to spend the coming years learning how to use it…..
Due to technical problems, yesterday’s post doesn’t appear to have been saved. I did actually write one, but Blogger hasn’t saved it, and it clearly didn’t publish. Sigh. Anyway, yesterday was a bit of a good day anyway. It was a gloriusly sunny day, surprisingly. Bank Holiday, and sun, mixed into one? Oh my.
And yes, I found my shorts! SO, I spent most of the day sunning myself, in the back garden, looking like this:-
Unpleasant, I’m sure you’ll agree.
I spent most of the morning with a case of the shits. Not that you needed to know that, but it did throw bank holiday plans into turmoil.
Anyway. The washer’s gone!
Well, when I say gone, I mean disconnected, sat in the back garden, ready for Comet to take it away when they deliver the new one on Wednesday. It’s a bit of a sad day. That washer’s been through a lot, having to clean my undies on a regular basis.
And, with that mental note still fresh in your minds (this post has been rather disgusting - Ed) I’m off to find out exactly what went wrong yesterday.
Daddykins has finally got round to buying a washer! I think I bugged him a little *too* much today, and eventually, he bought one.
He almost, ALMOST put his quilt into the washer again, while I was in bed. Somehow he remembered that this act is not good. And didn’t.
Quiet day. Bit of shopping. Bit of tidying. Lots of wind. Not from me, but actual blowy wind type stuff. I did get around to reporting all of the streetlights on the road where I work as faulty. I loved how patronising the response I got back was.
Can they possibly use the word “Form” any further? I can’t believe I pay my council tax for the most user-unfriendly interface I’ve ever used…
God, what a complete waste of a day! These are the types of days that simply cannot be written about. Get up, go to work, return home, that’s it.
It was Louise’s birthday yesterday. A blog posting I wrote five years ago reminded me of the fact. I find it really quite lucky that I stumbled across it.
Tonight, I’m going to be continuing my update of the old postings, moving all of the old pics around This is mainly to stop leeching of my images, as I’ve noticed a few of them appearing in forums, etc. The cheeky bastards. And, also it’ll clear up space, as the old images which don’t have posts attached to them (if you see what I mean) will be removed.
Meh. I’m actually really tired. Might post more later, once some of the cans my wonderful dad purchased for me. Totally out of the blue, too. He rules!
